Our inheritance in the blood of Jesus Christ is unquestionable or without dispute. If Christ Jesus came to seek and to save the lost, then he did so by washing and cleansing us of our sins through his blood which knew no sin. 1 Corinthians 6:11 says that but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

Revelations 7:14 says that these are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. There is no cleansing from sin or washing from spiritual infirmity except with the blood of Jesus. Isaiah 1:18 says that come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. Reasoning with God will establish in our hearts that it takes only the blood of Jesus Christ to transform us by grace from our sins to purity in God and thereby restore us as his children in love. Where is the proof?

Power of cleansing blood

1 John 1:7 says that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. Romans 5:9 says that since we are now justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. Only those cleansed by the blood of Jesus shall be saved. To be cleansed spiritually, Ephesians 1:7 says that in him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

Hebrew 9:13-14 say that for if the sprinkling of defiled persons with the blood of goats and bulls and with the ashes of a heifer sanctifies for the purification of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify your conscience from dead works to serve the living God. Jesus’ blood is also for cleansing of all generations and not one time sacrifice. Which do we prefer, the blood of animals or the blood of Jesus that is able to cleanse us from all our sins and infirmities and afflictions and restore us to our eternal destiny?

Breaks down barriers

Hebrews 9:12 says that he (Jesus) entered once for all into the Holy Place, taking not the blood of goats and calves but his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. The power and authority in Jesus’ blood is for all times and not subject to physical or spiritual barriers. The blood of Jesus Christ has made God real and accessible to us not by works but by grace. In the comfort of our homes and elsewhere we can still reach Jesus and his Father in heaven without barriers or obstructions if we have good heart.

We are surely overcomers with Christ if we believe in him because of the power of redemption in his blood. Paul says in Romans 8:37 that in all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. A demonstration of his love is his blood that Christ Jesus shed for us. Romans 4:6-7 say that blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not reckon his sin. We can only be covered by the blood of Jesus. There is hope in the blood of Jesus Christ for our eternal comfort.

Spirit of confidence

Hebrews 10:19 says we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus. Unless granted access through the blood of Jesus we cannot enter the presence of God. The confidence thus stems from the blood of Jesus Christ. Sometimes we are intimidated or lack the confidence to do what is right before God. In such times we must remember the blood of Jesus the purpose it serves. Do we lack confidence in any situation? Let us call on the blood of Jesus and we will receive the confidence it takes to face any situation. 2 Timothy 1:7 says for God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control.

Divine identity

Hebrews 13:12 says that Jesus suffered outside the gate of heaven in order to sanctify the people through his own blood. This means we need the blood of Jesus as our identification before we can be admitted to heaven or enter heaven. Jesus is the only one to give the mark of his blood. 1 Peter 1:19 describes Jesus’ blood as the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemishes or spots.

It is precious because it is without sin, clean and righteous, borne out of love and sacrifice through grace and mercy. It is precious because there is none like it and it cannot be replicated or substituted. Are we marked with the blood of Jesus for heavenly identification and admission? Revelation 1:5 says that to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood. What identification mark or identity do we have for eternity? We shall soon be called home, are we prepared with the blood mark of Jesus Christ?

Battle readiness

Matthew 24:21 says for then there shall be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, and never will be. Sinners shall be thrown into great tribulation, Revelation 2:22. The blood of Jesus is battle ready to lead us to victory. Revelation 1:5 says to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Sin is the root cause of our battles and can be conquered by the blood of Jesus aside the name of Jesus and the Holy Ghost fire.

Evidence of victory

Revelation 12:11 says they have conquered the accuser by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. Jesus has already won the battle for us through his blood. He protects our souls with his blood. He sanctifies us and our dwelling with his blood. He enables us with his blood. He covers us with his blood. Paul says we fight not against flesh and blood, Ephesians 6:12. If we listen, we will shine like the sun in the kingdom of the Father, Matthew 13:43

Power against unworthiness

1 Corinthians 11:27 says whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. If we drink of the blood in an unworthy manner, we mock and insult the dignity of the blood and its work. Anytime we take the blood in the form of communion or holy sacrament with sin in our hearts, we commit sin. Let our prayer be that the Lord Jesus Christ should increase our attention to your word and to deepen our limited understanding because of your blood.

Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ, you are our eternal hope because of your blood. Preserve our souls in your blood against insecurity. Present us as faultless by grace to God because of your blood. In your blessed holy name we have prayed, Amen!!
