On Thursday, the 18th day of January, 2024 at about 2: 58am, God gave a clear message for the world in a dream. God said “The storm is coming, support one another.” The storm approached with ferocity and incredible speed. Debris, dust, and flying materials captured the entire skies. Pitch darkness and catastrophe began. People were loudly wailing and confused. We immediately gripped one another at the elbow to form a human chain so we could not be swept away. We shouted out to vacate their hideouts and join us against the approaching storm.
Most dreams are messages from God to his children. So, in order to interpret and understand dreams, the right way is to go back to God or his gifted servants for further directions. In Daniel 2: 18-19 Daniel sought interpretation of the king’s dream from God although he was gifted with interpreting dreams. Natural wisdom cannot discern things of the spirit so Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2: 11 no one comprehends what is truly God’s except the Spirit of God. We have since prayed to God for directions.
The raging storm
In the Old Testament, storm represented unexpected destruction or defeat, 2 Kings 14: 7; unrestrained devastation, Job 21: 18; ferocity, Job 30: 22; destroyer, Psalms 57: 1; catalyst for destruction, Psalms 107: 25, panic, calamity, distress and anguish, Proverbs 1: 27; reward for the wicked, Proverbs 3: 25; God’s destroying tempest, Isaiah 28: 2; affliction, Isaiah 54: 11; the wrath of the LORD, Jeremiah 23: 19; the reward for sin, Jonah 1: 12; and God’s anger, Nahum 1: 3.
In the New Testament, storms stood for swamping, Matthew 8: 24; Mark 4: 37; chaos through violence, Acts 27: 18; dark waterless springs and mists, 2 Peter 2: 17. In summary, a storm from a biblical perspective represents the end of an era or situation or thing in an unexpected way or time or season with an unpleasant result for sin. The end of sin is succinctly stated in 2 Peter 2: 17, reserved deepest darkness where there is no water springs and mists. God says we must pray. The end will be very chaotic.
The flying debris, materials
God says whatever he has acquired or cherished will be obliterated within a twinkle of an eye. They will cease to have any value to us any time soon. The event cannot be stopped by anyone and it is already airborne. What we will need on that day of destruction is God’s grace for his saints. The debris etc. are also our public and hidden sins which will be exposed for all to see. Jesus said in Mark 4: 22 for there is nothing hidden, except to be disclosed; nor is anything secret, except to come to light.
God has referred us to Ezekiel 13: 14, I will break down the wall that you have smeared with whitewash, and bring it to the ground, so that its foundation will be laid bare; when it falls, you shall perish within it; and you shall know that I am the LORD. The Lord is going to reset everything and what has taken our pride will be no more. All eyes shall be lifted up to see the power of God. Jesus said in Matthew 6: 19, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal. Only treasures in Christ Jesus will survive the storm coming.
The dark clouds
The dark clouds were obstinately turbulent. In Exodus 14: 20 a dark cloud separated the Egyptian army from the Israelite army until God parted the Red Sea by his instructions to Moses. A dark cloud is separating us from God because of sin. We must go back to the basics: repentance, confession, plea for forgiveness in the blood of Jesus and taking up the cross to follow Christ Jesus. Dark clouds stood for gloom, Job 3: 5; and distress, Isaiah 5: 30. Zephaniah’s words aptly describe the event.
He said in Zephaniah 1: 14-16, The great day of the LORD is near, near and hastening fast; the sound of the day of the LORD is bitter, the warrior cries aloud there… That day will be a day of wrath, a day of distress and anguish, a day of ruin and devastation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of trumpet blast and battle cry against the fortified cities and against the lofty battlements. In summary, the dark clouds represent a sad day of divine curse because of sin.
The human chain
God said in the dream, “The storm is coming, support one another.” God instructed the formation of the human chain to protect one another from falling victims of destruction or God’s anger. It is a call for the chord of the global fellowship of believers. Whatever we have to do in order to save lives must be done with urgency for there is no time left. Our arm of fellowship must not fail in a confused world. We must support one another in prayer and in kind for there are many out there whose faith are weak because of the happenings around them.
Luke 11: 17 says, ‘Every kingdom divided against itself becomes a desert, and house falls on house. The days of division or divisiveness should be over. Ezekiel 7: 23 says make a chain! For the land is full of bloody crimes; the city is full of violence. God’s word is the chain that is able to keep us from evil. Unless we repent, God will destroy us. There is turmoil all around the globe and spreading so fast. We will have no excuse to deny knowledge of it.
We must repent
In Jude 1: 24 God is the only one who is able to keep us from falling, and to make us stand without blemish in Christ Jesus. His timing and his warning are perfect. 1 John 1: 8 says if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray that the world will take notice and Christians all over the world will start praying. God is warning us that Jesus will soon come.
Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, the end is near. Thank you for the advance warning of what is coming because we do not want us to perish but to be saved through your precious blood. By your saving grace, save us and wash us in your precious blood from our sins. Cause us by your mercy to escape the wrath coming. Help us to interpret the signs of the times so we may not be taken by surprise. Help us to support one another in prayer and in substance as one body of Christ in your holy name, Amen!!
